Some statistics: To get to West Yellowstone, we drove 1,438 miles in 27 hours and 24 minutes of driving time for an average of 52.5 miles per hour. My GPS keeps track of the time we are moving versus the time we are stopped. We consumed approximately 165 gallons of diesel for an average of 8.7 miles per gallon.

It rained lightly most of the night and all morning. At one point it was raining, snowing, and sleeting simultaneously. I know because I was out in it dumping the trailer's holding tanks and taking laundry down to the laundromat. The temperature all morning was around 38 degrees. It was a good day to catch up on housekeeping chores. Around lunch it just up and snowed an inch, but fortunately it melted in a couple hours. We actually had at least four different bands of precipitation go through today. We did go out for pizza at lunch while it was snowing.

We have quite a few birds eating at our feeders. Today we got a male Cassin's Finch. We also noticed several Audubon's Warblers - all female for some reason. These are also known as Yellow-rumped Warblers. There are at least three of them. They took over the feeder attached to the window of the trailer, so we get to see them up close. I didn't see the bluebirds today.

This evening we went to a local theater (with live actors) and saw a performance of Bye Bye Birdie. We recognized six actors who were here last year when we went to two different plays. It's not Broadway, but it is entertaining.
